Finnish airline Finnair Plc said on Thursday (16 November) that Finnair Technical Services and LOT Polish Airlines have signed a maintenance agreement for the overhaul of landing gear sets of the ATR72 fleet of LOTs subsidiary EuroLOT.
The work will be carried out during 2006-2008 at the landing gear shop of Finnair Technical Services maintenance facilities at Helsinki-Vantaa airport in Finland.
Finnair and LOT also cooperate in other fields of maintenance business as both Finnair and LOT are operators of the new Embraer E170 regional jet. The companies are looking into possibilities of increasing cooperation also in the field of E170 maintenance business.
Finnair, established in 1923, operates a route network of 50 international destinations and 15 domestic destinations with a fleet of 67 aircraft. The companys largest shareholder is the Finnish state with a 56.3% holding. Finnair is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Helsinki.
