Nordic Business Report-January 9, 2007-Modern Times Group MTG AB acquires online social networking community Playahead for SEK102m (C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Swedish-based international entertainment-broadcasting group Modern Times Group MTG AB (MTG) said on Tuesday (9 January) that it has agreed to acquire 90% of the share capital of online social networking community Playahead (http://www.playahead.com). The purchase consideration is SEK102m in cash. Playahead, Swedens second largest Internet community, has over 530,000 registered members. The community is in the process of expanding and established new sites in Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom during 2006. Playahead will be included in MTGs Viasat Broadcasting business area. Modern Times Group, headquartered in Stockholm in Sweden, is an international entertainment-broadcasting group with operations in more than 30 countries.
