The Swedish industrial group Trelleborg AB said on Friday (7 July) that it has agreed to acquire privately-owned Norwegian contract down-hole packers manufacturer Mehren Rubber AS.
Mehren Rubber manufactures down-hole packers (oil/gas extraction equipment for sealing the area between the tubing and the well wall) for Halliburton company Easywell. The company has 30 employees and annual sales of SEK65m.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
