The Swiss-Swedish power and automation solutions provider ABB said on Thursday (24 August) that it has received a new contract from South African energy utility Eskom.
The USD62m contract involves the renovation of the Apollo HVDC converter station near Johannesburg. The renovation will increase the stability in the power transmission system between Mozambique and South Africa.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.54 British pounds (GBP).
