The Norwegian floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels operator Bergesen Worldwide Offshore Ltd said on Tuesday (17 October) that it has received a contract for the services of an FPSO vessel at the Bilabri Field offshore Nigeria.

The contract was awarded jointly by Peak Petroleum Industries Nigeria Ltd and Equator Exploration Ltd.

The contract was initially awarded for a period of three years, but it includes options which could extend the period to a total of 10 years. Including options, but excluding production incentives, the contract is worth approximately USD259m.

Bergesen Worldwide Offshore said that it will use the FPSO BW Endeavor for the contract. The unit will be renamed BW Peace.

Bergesen Worldwide Offshore, with operational headquarters in Oslo, Norway, is part of the Bergesen Worldwide Group. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker BWO.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.86 US dollars (USD).
