Norwegian telecomms operator Telenor ASA's Swedish subsidiary Telenor AB said on Thursday (22 December) that the European Commission had cleared its acquisition of Vodafone Sweden. Telenor will take over Vodafone Sweden on 5 January 2006, increasing Telenor Group's Scandinavian mobile customer base by 37% to a total of 5.6m subscribers.
