Acquisition of Hoffmann activities in Luxembourg and Northern France
Gouda, The Netherlands, 6 June 2007 - Imtech N.V. (technical services provider in Europe) announces the acquisition of all shares of the technical services provider Hoffmann S.A.. With approximately 20 employees, Hoffmann realised a revenue of about 2 million euro in 2006. The acquisition will contribute directly to the profit per share.
Imtech, which operates in Luxembourg under the name Paul Wagner et Fils (in which Imtech has an interest of 60%), is a large multidisciplinary provider of technical services in that country. The company has some 350 employees and generates annual revenue of approximately 32 million euro. Imtech is one of the strongest players in the growing buildings market and covers the sector for new building projects as well as activities in the field of services, maintenance, security and energy management. The Imtech strategy in Luxembourg will be reinforced by this acquisition. At the same time, a stronger position will be secured in and around Thionville, which includes the border region of Luxembourg and Northern France and is part of the SaarLorLux Region (Saarland, Lorraine, Luxembourg).
Hoffmann is a strong regional technical services provider active in electrical engineering and security in the region of Thionville, with activities covering the fields of new building projects, maintenance and management. Hoffmann enjoys a solid position in the buildings market with an important circle of regular clients.
Imtech has gradually expanded its position in Luxembourg in recent years, both autonomously and by means of acquisitions. Towards the end of 2005 the maintenance activities of ABB Luxembourg were acquired and recently, in January 2007, the maintenance, security and energy management contracts of Cegelec Luxembourg were acquired.
René van der Bruggen, Chairman of Imtech's Board of Management: 'Thanks to this smaller acquisition we are once more reinforcing our Luxembourg activities. Imtech and Hoffmann complement each other well. And the acquisition is helping Imtech to secure a position in the rapidly growing SaarLorLux Region.'
