The Danish wind turbines manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S said on Tuesday (21 March) that it had received a turnkey order for three wind power plants in Italy. The order, placed by Italian Vento Power Corporation, covers 30 units of the V52-850 kW turbine and 15 units of the V80-2.0 MW turbine. The turbines will be installed at two wind farms in Sicily and one in the Puglia region. The value of the order was not disclosed, but Vestas Wind Systems said that it would not affect its expectations for 2006.
