Nordic Business Report-January 9, 2007-Akelius Fastigheter AB acquires residential properties in Sweden and Germany (C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Swedish property company Akelius Fastigheter AB said on Monday (8 January) that it has agreed to acquire a residential property in Vasteras, Sweden from housing developer Bostads AB Mimer. Akelius Fastigheter is paying SEK41m for the 68-apartment property, which will result in a gain of approximately SEK14m for Mimer. Akelius Fastigheter on Monday also announced that its German subsidiary Akelius GmbH has agreed to acquire property in Augsburg in Germany. The transaction covers properties with a total of 92 residential apartments in central Augsburg. The financial details of the latter deal were not disclosed. Akelius Fastigheter, headquartered in Danderyd, Sweden, is one of Swedens largest privately held property owners. The company owns some 28,000 apartments from Haparanda in northern Sweden to Erlangen in Germany. One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.38 Swedish kronor (SEK).
