The Norwegian shipbuilder Aker Yards ASA said on Wednesday (7 June) that it has secured a NOK400m contract to build a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) vessel for Olympic Shipping AS.

The vessel will be of the type Aker ROV 02 CD and will be equipped with a 200 tonne subsea crane. The ship will also have accommodation facilities for 100 people.

The vessel will be built at Aker Yards' shipyard in Aukra, Norway.

One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
