The Swedish private equity company Bure Equity AB said on Wednesday (12 July) that it had signed an agreement to sell its shares in the engineering group Carl Bro to Dutch engineering group Grontmij.

Carl Bro and Grontmij will join forces to form a company with some 6,200 employees and operations in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom/Ireland, Belgium and Germany, as well as extensive international activities.

In return for its 66.1% holding Bure will receive a total purchase consideration of some SEK1,020m. Of this total approximately SEK175m will be paid in the form of Grontmij shares which are listed on the Euronext Stock Exchange in Amsterdam.

One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
