The Danish brewery group Carlsberg A/S issued its first quarter report on Wednesday (10 May), posting an operating profit of DKK83m as compared to a loss of DKK22m in the first quarter of 2005.
The pre-tax result amounted to a loss of DKK250m, as compared to a loss of DKK390m in the first quarter last year. The pre-tax result was burdened by restructuring and financial costs.
The net turnover amounted to DKK7,807m, as compared to DKK7,395m in the first quarter last year.
One Danish krone (DKK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
