Nordic Business Report-February 1, 2007-Eltel Networks Corporation strengthens in Poland, acquires K-Tel SA (C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Finland-based European network services provider Eltel Networks Corporation said on Wednesday (31 January) that it has acquired Polish network contractor K-Tel SA for an undisclosed sum. K-Tel, based in Poznan, engineers, constructs and maintains telecomms networks and systems, and is the leading supplier of services to the Polish fixed line telecomms market. The company has 1,600 employees. The transaction will further strengthen Eltel Networks position in Poland, and will increase its number of employees in the country to a total of almost 2,300. The deal will also make Eltel Networks the largest Finnish employer in Poland. Eltel Networks is headquartered in Espoo in Finland. The group has some 7,000 employees and operations in the Nordic countries, the Baltic states, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland and Russia.
