Swedish directory media company Eniro AB said on Tuesday (23 January) that it has agreed to acquire Swedish web portal publisher Leta AB in a SEK48m cash deal.
Leta publishes leta.se, Swedens largest start page with categorised links. The page has over 1.1m visits per week. The company reported revenues of approximately SEK7m in 2006.
Eniro said that it will include leta.se in its network and that the page is expected to generate valuable traffic to Eniros services. The acquisition will also further strengthen Eniros search word marketing business.
Eniro, headquartered in Stockholm in Sweden, is the leading Nordic search company. The company has some 4,700 employees and reported revenues of SEK4.83bn in 2005. Eniro is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.38 Swedish kronor (SEK).
