Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Wednesday (10 May) that the Spanish operator Telefonica de Espana had selected Ericsson as supplier for its metro DWDM optical network.
Under the agreement Ericsson would deploy its Multihaul WDM solution to enhance the capacity of Telefonica's metropolitan transport network in Spain.
The new network would be a cornerstone of the next generation transport network of Telefonica in Spain, according to the company.
No financial information was provided.
