The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority reportedly said on Tuesday (13 June) that there were about 5.28 million mobile phone subscriptions in Finland.
The number is some 20,000 more than Finland's population.
According to the agency just over one billion mobile phone calls were made and 727 million text messages were sent in the first quarter of 2006, reported the Finnish news agency STT.
