The Finnish consumer products group Fiskars Corporation said on Friday (30 June) that it has agreed to acquire Swedish compasses, binoculars and headlamps manufacturer Silva Group for an undisclosed sum.
The transaction includes Silva Group's US subsidiary The Brunton Company, but excludes Silva Group's marine electronics operations.
Silva Group has 250 employees and reported net sales of EUR34m in the financial year 2005/2006.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.69 British pounds (GBP).
