Nordic Business Report-December 4, 2006-Industri Kapital acquires Scandinavian care services provider Attendo Group AB (C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com European private equity investor Industri Kapital announced on Monday (4 December) that it has agreed to acquire Sweden-based care services provider Attendo Group AB. Industri Kapital is acquiring the shares from Bridgepoint, Mexab and Saki for an undisclosed sum. Attendo Group, headquartered in Danderyd in Sweden, provides care services for the elderly and disabled on behalf of local authorities in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. It has annual sales of approximately SEK2.8bn. "We have chosen to invest in Attendo because we see the opportunity of combining strong organic growth and a buy-and-build strategy. Very few companies are capable of both but Attendo has shown over the last five years that they can," commented Gustav Ohman, Partner at Industri Kapital. Industri Kapital is a European buy-out firm with offices in London, Stockholm, Hamburg, Paris and Oslo. Its current portfolio comprises some 24 companies with a combined turnover of EUR8.6bn.
