The Norwegian wireless telecomms solutions provider Nera ASA said on Friday (1 September) that its subsidiary, Nera SatCom AS, has won an upgrade contract from Telenor Satellite Services, part of the Norwegian operator Telenor ASA.
The contract covers the upgrade of Telenor Satellite Service's aeronautical satellite ground earth stations in Eik in Norway and Santa Paula in California in the US.
The contract is worth NOK40.8m and is one of the largest of its kind for Nera SatCom.
One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
