Norwegian wireless telecomms solutions provider Nera ASA said on Friday (19 May) that its subsidiary Nera Telecommunications had filed a release to the Singapore Stock Exchange about an actual interest in buying its subsidiary, Nera Electronics.

The filing underlines that there is no binding agreement signed, the company added.

Nera Electronics is a contract manufacturer specialised in relatively complex electronic modules in medium sized series. Nera Telecommunications owns 68.3% of the shares in Nera Electronics, and Nera ASA owns 50.1% of the shares in Nera Telecommunications.

Both of the companies are listed at the Singapore Stock Exchange.
