Okmetic Oyj, a Finnish manufacturer of silicon wafers for the semiconductor and sensor industries, reported on Wednesday (9 August) an operating profit of EUR3.8m on net sales of EUR31.8m for the financial period January-June 2006.
Operating profit for the six-month period improved from the loss of EUR1.6m in the corresponding period in 2005, while net sales increased from EUR23.3m.
Operating profit for the quarter April-June 2006 amounted to EUR1.1m on net sales of EUR15.9m.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.68 British pounds (GBP).
