Swedish mobile content services distributor Aspiro AB said on Tuesday (23 January) that its Norwegian subsidiary Rubberduck Media Lab has received a Mobile TV contract from Scandinavian mobile operator 3.
The contract covers the delivery of technical solutions and operations, as well as the hosting for 3s Mobile TV initiative in Sweden and Denmark, Aspiro said.
The new 3Show service is scheduled to start on 1 February.
"This is a milestone for Rubberduck," said Ola Svartberg, manager of Rubberduck Media Lab.
"We deliver a total solution for Mobile TV to one of the world markets most demanding customers together with subcontractors Beeweeb from Italy and American Vidiator. This agreement confirms our leading position within mobile multimedia," Svartberg added.
The financial value of the contract was not disclosed.
Aspiro, headquartered in Malmo in Sweden, is the Nordic market leader in the distribution of mobile content services. The company has some 130 employees and has offices and representations in the Nordic countries, the Baltic states, Luxembourg and the US. Aspiro is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
