Finnish media group SanomaWSOY Corporation said on Wednesday (31 May) that its electronic media division SWelcom has been granted two part-national radio licences.
According to the licences SWelcom's radio channels will start their operations as of January 2007.
The local radio station Radio Helsinki, part of newspaper division Sanoma, will also continue its operations in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
The Finnish Government on Wednesday granted the licences for commercial radio stations in Finland for the next five years.
