The Scandinavian airline SAS has reportedly been forced to cancel some 80 flights in and out Copenhagen, Denmark due to a strike by the airline's pilots on Monday (23 January). The strike is reportedly a protest against planned cuts among pilots, and would chiefly affect the carrier's European destinations. The strike action followed three days of bad weather with strong winds and snow that forced SAS to cancel more than 400 flights out of Copenhagen. Also in Norway an unusually high number of SAS Braathens' pilots had called in sick on Monday, and the airline had to cancel some 50 flights, reports said.
