The Swedish farmers' supply and crop marketing association Lantmannen said on Thursday (29 June) that Scandinavian Farmers, its joint company with Danish feeding stuff group Dansk Landbrugs Grovvareselskab (DLG Group), has agreed to acquire a 9% stake in German agricultural group Raiffeisen Hauptgenossenschaft Nord AG (HaGe Kiel) as well as its operations in the Baltic countries.
At the same time HaGe Kiel will take over Scandinavian Farmers' operations in Poland.
The deal strengthens Scandinavian Farmers' position in the Baltic countries.
No financial details were disclosed.
