Swedish IT consulting company Sigma AB said on Thursday (8 February) that it has agreed to acquire a stake in Danish consulting firm ZenIT Consult A/S.
Sigma will initially invest SEK14m in a 25% holding, but has the option of increasing its ownership during 2008.
The acquisition will strengthen Sigmas position as a provider of IT consulting services within the bank and finance sector.
As part of the arrangement Sigma and ZenIT Consult have also agreed to establish a Swedish business, ZenIT Consult AB, in which Sigma will hold a majority position.
Sigma is headquartered in Gothenburg in Sweden. The company has 1,300 employees in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, France, Hungary, the US, China and Ukraine. Sigma is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.38 Swedish kronor (SEK).
