Swedish IT consulting group Sigma AB said on Friday (8 December) that it has agreed to acquire Finnish company MaxiFlex Oy for an undisclosed sum.
MaxiFlex resells Maximo EAM and maintenance solutions and represents the IBM company MRO Software in the Nordic countries, the Baltic countries and Northern Europe. The company has 15 employees and an annual turnover of EUR2m.
"MaxiFlex has cooperated with Meteorit AB earlier, a company that Sigma acquired in Q1 2006, and knows from that experience that MaxiFlex fits very well into our operations," said Sune Nilsson, CEO of Sigma.
"In addition, MaxiFlex strengthens Sigma further in the maintenance area in relation to large Nordic and global industrial customers," Nilsson added.
The acquisition also represents Sigmas first entry into Finland.
Sigma is headquartered in Gothenburg in Sweden. The company has 1,100 employees in Denmark, Sweden and Ukraine. Sigma is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.49 euros (EUR).
