Nordic Business Report-November 16, 2006-Swedish technical consultant SWECO Energuide acquires Gothenburg-based Autosolvia AB (C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Swedish technical consulting group SWECO said on Thursday (16 November) that its unit SWECO Energuide has agreed to acquire the Gothenburg-based consulting company Autosolvia AB for an undisclosed sum. Autosolvia, with 20 employees, provides consulting services for the energy sector and heavy base industries in western Sweden. The acquisition will strengthen SWECO Energuides market position, especially within electric power engineering, and will also strengthen its expertise in automation and industrial IT. "Far-reaching changes are taking place in the energy sector and many parts of the base industries, where electric power engineering and automation are critical tools. The addition of Autosolvia will improve our capacity to meet accelerating demand for qualified consulting services in these areas," commented Erik Severin, Managing Director of SWECO Energuide. SWECO, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, provides consulting services within engineering, environmental technology and architecture.
