Sweden-based pan-European telecomms company Tele2 AB said on Tuesday (27 September) that due to the successful acquisition of Tiscali in February 2005, Tele2 in Denmark was now able to offer both traditional fixed telephony and ADSL using its own network. The Danes are the first Tele2 customers in Europe to have the opportunity to subscribe to an integrated ADSL and traditional fixed telephony product, which is entirely administered by Tele2, according to the company. Tele2 said that this enables the company to offer the telephony subscription at 42% below the price charged by Danish telecomms operator TDC A/S. The service is currently available to 65% of Danish households.
