The Swedish industrial group Trelleborg AB said on Friday (7 July) that its business area Building Systems has agreed to acquire US polymer-based sealing products manufacturer Kawneer Rubber & Plastics from Kawneer Company Inc.
The acquisition price was not disclosed.
Kawneer Rubber & Plastics, based in Bristol, Indiana, manufactures extruded profiles and other polymer-based sealing products for the construction and transportation industries. The company has 40 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK90m.
The transaction will give Trelleborg a leading position in the US market for extruded profiles.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
