Nordic Business Report-January 9, 2007-Trelleborg AB combines two of its business areas (C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Swedish industrial group Trelleborg AB said on Tuesday (9 January) that it was combining the Trelleborg Building Systems business area with the Trelleborg Engineered Systems business area as of the start of 2007. Following this combination Trelleborg Engineered Systems will have annual sales about SEK10bn, with approximately 7,000 employees. "Combining these two business areas is part of efforts to continue to improve our structure and to generate synergism and efficiency gains," said Peter Nilsson, president and CEO of Trelleborg. As a result, Trelleborgs operations will be divided into four business areas: Trelleborg Engineered Systems, Trelleborg Automotive, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions and Trelleborg Wheel Systems. Trelleborg Group, headquartered in Trelleborg in Sweden, develops and manufactures high-performance solutions that seal, damp and protect in industrial environments. The group has 23,000 employees in 40 countries, and annual sales of approximately SEK24bn. Trelleborg is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
