Nordic Business Report-December 5, 2006-Unitar A/S joins Samuelson Inredningar AB and Gron-Hansen AS to launch joint shop-fitting group (C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Danish retail interiors supplier Unitar A/S said on Tuesday (5 December) that it has agreed to join the Swedish company Samuelson Inredningar AB and the Norwegian company Gron-Hansen AS in establishing a joint shop-fitting group, New Store Europe. The combined group has a turnover of some DKK800m, and is represented in 11 European countries. It will initially have production in six of the countries, but production operations are likely to be expanded to three additional countries at a later date. The group has some 500 employees. New Store Europe is being established through the merger of Samuelson Inredningar and Gron-Hansen, and their acquisition of a 49% stake in Unitar. Unitar will join New Store Europe as of 3 May 2007. Unitar is headquartered in Herning in Denmark. The company has 55 employees and is expected to achieve a turnover of EUR10m in 2006.
