16 May 2007- Funkwerk`s new multimode Compenser, a mobile radio amplifier specially developed for vehicles, meets an ever growing demand from the automobile industry. Now the specialist for professional communication systems received a further large-scale contract for the production of the multimode Compenser from another leading German premium manufacturer, for use in the European market. The new contract is already the third order for this product won within the last six months. The order volume over the next five years will be in the middle two-digit millions. The production of the Compenser is scheduled to commence in 2008 and will continue until at least 2012. The multimode Compenser ensures reliable mobile radio connections for the use in vehicles and thus contributes considerably to improving the quality of voice and data transfers. The technology developed in its subsidiary, Funkwerk Dabendorf, supports the GSM mobile radio network widely used in Europe as well as the forward-looking UMTS, and is therefore suitable for universal applications. With the new major contract the Thuringian technology group improves its position as OEM supplier of communication equipment for the automobile industry significantly.
