Norwegian engineering, construction and technology group Aker Kvaerner ASA said on Wednesday (19 July) that it has, in a joint venture (50/50) with Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI), been awarded a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of the Ingleside Energy Center regasification terminal in Ingleside, Texas, USA.
The contract value to the Aker Kvaerner and IHI joint venture is USD665m.
The project is expected to take approximately three years to complete, after Ingleside Energy Center elects to issue a Notice to Proceed.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.56 British pounds (GBP).
