The Swedish locking solutions developer and manufacturer ASSA ABLOY AB said on Monday (10 April) that it has acquired Canadian company Baron Metal Industries Inc.
Baron Metal Industries, based in Woodbridge, Toronto, manufactures steel doors and frames. The company has 140 employees and annual sales of CAD30m.
The acquisition price was not disclosed, but ASSA ABLOY said that it expects the the acquisition to involve restructuring costs of approximately CAD1m.
One Canadian dollar (CAD) is worth approximately 0.50 British pounds (GBP).
