Norwegian oil service company Awilco Offshore ASA said on Thursday (3 August) that it had taken delivery of its first Ultra Premium jackup drilling rig from PPL Shipyard in Singapore.
"WilPower" is the first delivery out of seven jackup drilling rigs that Awilco Offshore has under construction, the company said.
The rig will shortly be delivered to Arabian Drilling Company for commencement of its five-year bareboat charter for operations offshore Saudi Arabia.
