The Danish-based brewery Baltic Beverages Holding AB (BBH), 50/50 owned by Carlsberg A/S and Scottish & Newcastle plc, reported on Wednesday (2 August) an operating profit of EUR199m on net sales of EUR961m for the financial period January-June 2006.
Both operating profit and net sales for the six-month period increased, respectively by 31.2% and 17.7%, as compared to the corresponding period in 2005.
Operating profit for the quarter April-June 2006 amounted to EUR159m on net sales of EUR619m.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.68 British pounds (GBP).
