Nordic Business Report-January 15, 2007-Birdstep Technology ASA completes acquisition of Aramova Inc (C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Norwegian software company Birdstep Technology ASA said on Monday (15 January) that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of US laptop connectivity software company Aramova Inc. The acquisition price amounted to USD1.5m and was paid in cash and shares. Birdstep Technology said previously that the deal would both enhance its ambitions in North America as well as strengthen its relationships with European operators, including KPN in Netherlands, E-plus in Germany and Neuf Cegetel in France. Birdstep Technology, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, develops connectivity and mobility client software and embedded database technologies. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and traded under the ticker BIRD. One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.97 US dollars (USD).
