From 1 March 2007 an opening fee of EUR0.049 per call will be charged for mobile calls made in Finland. The minute rates for subscriptions remain unchanged. In future, calls placed by subscribers with the Elisa Oiva subscription, for example, will cost EUR0.049 per call plus EUR0.079 per minute. The opening fee will not apply to corporate customer subscriptions, 3G service bundles and Kolumbus subscriptions, the company said. Elisa Corporation, headquartered in Helsinki, is a Finnish telecomms company that offers private and corporate customers a comprehensive range of telecomms services. The company recorded revenue of EUR1.34bn in 2005, has some 3,600 employees and is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Helsinki. One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.49 euros (EUR).
