The move integrates the pricing of calls and SMS messages that the customers of Elisa make or receive abroad. Under the new pricing model calls made or received abroad are divided into six zones, each with two price categories. One price category is for calls on the preferred operators network, and another for calls on other operators networks. Prices are valid 24 hours regardless of the time of day, or day of the week, Elisa said. In addition flat rate pricing will be applied to SMS messages globally, with the cost of sending an SMS set at EUR0.28 per message whatever the senders geographical location. The Elisa mobile phone subscription is compatible with more than 300 networks in over 170 countries. GPRS is available in over 100 countries, and 3G in over 30 countries. Elisa Corporation, headquartered in Helsinki, is a Finnish telecomms company offering private and corporate customers a comprehensive range of telecomms services.
