Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Friday (11 August) that it had signed a managed services contract with the Polish operator Polkomtel to build a 2G/3G network in Poland.
Under the three-year contract Ericsson will manage the design, development, deployment and integration of a new multi-vendor 2G/3G network in northern and western Poland.
Some 20 employees from technical departments of Polkomtel will be transferred to Ericsson.
The contract starts on 1 October 2006.
