The Swedish portable petrol-powered garden equipment producer Husqvarna AB announced on Friday (28 July) that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of US lawnmowers maker Dixon Industries Inc.
The operations were sold by Blount International Inc for USD34m.
Dixon Industries manufactures lawnmowers for professional and private users and reported sales of USD54.4m in 2005.
The acquired business will be included in Husqvarna's professional products business area.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.56 British pounds (GBP).
