To supplement its own coating services, Impreglon acquired 100 % of Deckert Oberflächentechnik GmbH effective July 1, 2006. Same as Impreglon, Deckert is located in Lüneburg, Germany. While Impreglon's main focus has been functional coatings, Deckert has concentrated on decorative coatings.
Since the difference between functional and decorative coatings has become less pronounced and growing numbers of coating customers are demanding both type of coatings, the new acquisition enables Impreglon not only to offer "one stop shopping" for its customers, but also to take advantage of administrative and logistic synergies.
Deckert expects a revenue ¤ of 3.6 million combined with a double digit percentage margin. Impreglon just recently reported results for the first half of 2006 showing a revenue of ¤ 9.9 million and an EBIT of ¤ 1.7 million exceeding the expectations of management.
