The appointment of Mr Deering is subject to shareholder approval at a Jetix Europe N.V Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held in Amsterdam on 19th September 2007. Mr Deering is Chairman of two companies - global computer game publisher, Codemasters Group Ltd, and Jalipo Ltd, a privately-held new media company that works with BBC World to stream its content around the world. He is also a Board Director for In Game Advertising Worldwide and Handheld Learning Ltd and was formerly President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for ten years between 1995 and 2005.
