Nordic Business Report-February 5, 2007-Kemira Oyj divest its stake in Kemira Arab Potash Company Ltd (C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Finnish chemicals group Kemira Oyj said on Monday (5 February) that it has sold its 50% shareholding in Kemira Arab Potash Company Ltd (Kemapco) to Arab Potash Company Ltd (APC). Kemapco is located in Aqaba, Jordan and produces potassium nitrate and dicalcium phosphate. Kemira will continue to market potassium nitrate from the factory during a one-year transition period. Kemira has now divested all the water soluble fertilizer businesses remaining after spinning off Kemira GrowHow Oyj from the group in 2004. No financial information was provided. Kemira Oyj, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, is a chemicals group that operates in 40 countries. In 2005 Kemira recorded revenue of around EUR2.0bn and it has 8,000 employees.
