The Norwegian global maritime cellular services provider Maritime Communications Partner AS (MCP) has secured a contract to provide GSM services on board the Norwegian shipping group Ofotens og Vesteraalens Dampskibsselskab ASA's (OVDS) cruise ships Nordnorge and Nordkapp. Nordnorge and Nordkapp are in September headed for an explorer cruise to the Antarctic. MCP's main shareholders include Telenor ASA, Northzone Ventures IV KS and Ugland Invest Ltd.
