Nordic Business Report-December 18, 2006-Nordic door and window manufacturer Inwido acquires two Norwegian window manufacturers (C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Swedish private equity company Ratos AB said on Monday (18 December) that its 95%-owned portfolio company, door and window manufacturer Inwido, has agreed to acquire Norwegian window producers Lyssand Treindustrier and Frekhaug Vinduet. Lyssand Treindustrier and Frekhaug Vinduet have a total of 230 employees and combined annual sales of NOK260m. "The acquisition of Lyssand and Frekhaug will give Inwido the production platform and market position we regard as necessary for our future focus on the Norwegian market," said Sven-Gunnar Schough, CEO of Inwido. Inwido has made 14 new acquisitions this year and is expected to achieve pro forma sales of SEK4bn in 2006. After the acquisition of Lyssand Treindustrier and Frekhaug Vinduet it will have 3,100 employees. Ratos, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, has some SEK9bn in investments. The company is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm. One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.21 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
