Og Vodafone, a telecomms company in Iceland, has revealed it is to introduce a telephone conferencing service for business customers, which it claims is low-cost and easy to use.

Og Vodafone has purchased a LinkCall 240 system from Telsis, an infrastructure vendor, selecting the platform for its scalability, high audio quality and ease of use. The company connects most of Iceland's 100 largest companies at present and views conferencing as a way to add value, enabling business users to have less expensive, improved meetings by telephone.

LinkCall 240 provides a conferencing solution for up to 240 simultaneous callers in up to 40 conferences and does not require participants to pre-book or register. Each caller pays for their own call and there are no complicated access codes involved, the company said.

According to Telsis the system can be integrated easily with existing network infrastructure, features customisable audio prompts, offers real-time statistics to help track revenues and usage and is compatible with all Telsis LinkCall solutions.
