Norwegian Internet browsers developer Opera Software ASA announced on Tuesday (24 January) the worldwide launch of Opera Mini, a full web browser that runs on almost every mobile phone, including low- and mid-end handsets. Opera Mini is available free of charge via WAP and PC download or for a fee via SMS. Opera Mini's start page features a Google search box for quick access to web search, in compliance with the terms of an agreement between the companies. Opera said that it also offers customised versions of Opera Mini to mobile phone operators, handset manufacturers and other companies interested in offering a branded, full mobile web browser to their customers.
