Pöyry's Infrastructure & Environment business group has been awarded an engineering services contract by ASFINAG (Autobahnen- und Schnellstrassen- Finanzierungs- Aktiengesellschaft) Verkehrstelematik GmbH, Austria, for the traffic control system in the area of Linz. The contract value is EUR 1.3 million. The investment costs of the implementation of the traffic control system in the area of Linz are approximately EUR 30 million. Pöyry's services include verification of the detailed planning, support to the client in the award of the contract to the contractor, as well as site supervision and monitoring during the warranty period. This project is part of a EUR 360 million investment in intelligent traffic information and control systems on motorways and expressways throughout Austria. To date, Pöyry has concluded service contracts with ASFINAG Verkehrstelematik GmbH totalling EUR 5.4 million in these projects.
